RV maintenance in Montgomery County follows the lake and the storm calendar more than a single hard season. A rig here might sit in a gated storage yard between trips, live at a dock pedestal at a lake house, or get used hard every weekend from spring through fall. That changes what wears out, when, and what maintenance is actually worth paying for.

We do scheduled maintenance at your lake lot, storage yard, or driveway, on the same systems we repair: roof, air conditioners, slides, water heater, furnace, plumbing, 12V and 120V electrical, and the generator. We do not do engine, transmission, brake, or chassis service. That is truck-shop work, and a mobile tech who says otherwise is overselling.

Spring: the roof and the pre-lake-season checkout. Get the roof inspected and resealed before the wettest months and before hurricane season opens June 1. This is the single highest-value maintenance job on the rig, because a small crack caught in spring is a $500 to $1,200 reseal, and the same crack ignored through a wet summer and a storm season can become $2,000-plus in structural repair.

Early summer: pre-storm prep, if a system is tracking. Awnings serviced so they retract cleanly, roof photographed as a damage baseline, batteries confirmed healthy, and a hardwired surge protector considered if the rig will stay plugged in through an outage. Hurricane Beryl in July 2024 knocked out power to a large share of the Conroe network for days; a rig plugged in through an event like that without surge protection is exposed.

Summer: AC care for occupied and lake-house rigs. For rigs used all summer, the job is keeping the rooftop units alive: coil cleaning, capacitor checks, and confirming the unit is not being asked to do more than it physically can on a 95-degree afternoon.

Fall: the storage-yard prep for anything going idle. Batteries charged and disconnected or maintained, fuel treated and the generator run under load, water system checked, vents and covers fitted to keep insects and dust out. Rigs prepped properly here start cleanly on the next trip out.
