Conroe Mobile RV Repair is an independently operated mobile service covering Conroe and Montgomery County. We repair the house side of RVs, roofs and sealant, rooftop ACs, slide-outs, plumbing and water heaters, refrigerators, furnaces, generators, fiberglass, and 12V electrical, at the rig, wherever it is parked.
Why we work the way we do
Montgomery County has grown around Lake Conroe faster than most of the country, and a lot of the RVs here do not live at a park at all: they sit on a dock pedestal at a lake house, inside a gated boat-and-RV storage facility, or on a rural acreage lot waiting for the next trip to Sam Houston National Forest or a hunting lease. The dealers that serve this market book out weeks in season, same as anywhere, and a rig that is committed to a lake-house dock or a locked storage bay is not casually going anywhere.
Mobile repair is the answer to that mismatch, but the mobile-tech market has its own problems: no published prices, quotes that appear before anyone has metered anything, and vague claims about licenses that do not hold up under a straight question. We built this service around fixing those specifically.
Published prices. Trip fee $75 to $150 in the local area. Labor $125 to $190/hr, one-hour minimum, parts and tax additional. Typical job ranges for every common repair are listed on the pricing page, before you call, not after.
Diagnosis before quote. The tech tests, meters, and inspects before naming a number. A water heater that will not light after months in storage gets its thermocouple and burner tube checked before anyone mentions replacement. A rooftop AC that hums gets a capacitor test before anyone quotes a new unit. You approve the price before work starts, every time, no exceptions.
Honesty about what we are, and about Texas law. Independent means not a dealer and not factory-authorized. We cannot perform manufacturer warranty work, and we will say so up front. Texas does not operate a state license for general motor vehicle or RV coach repair shops, so an ad that says “licensed” is usually referring to a basic business registration, not a trade credential. Where Texas licensing is real is propane: the Railroad Commission of Texas requires any technician who installs, services, or repairs an RV’s LP-gas system, containers, or appliances to hold the right certification, and any tech we send for that kind of job should be able to show it, not just claim it. We also do not touch engine, transmission, or chassis work; that belongs at a truck shop, and pretending otherwise wastes your trip fee.
Who does the work
Repairs are performed by experienced, insured mobile RV technicians who work these systems daily: the same lap sealant, Suburban and Atwood water heaters, Dometic and Coleman rooftop units, Norcold and Dometic absorption fridges, Lippert slide mechanisms, and 12V converter setups found in nearly every rig in Montgomery County. The truck stocks the parts that close most calls in one visit: fuses, sealant, capacitors, anode rods, water pumps, thermocouples.
We also know how to work inside gated storage facilities and along a private dock, which matters more than outsiders realize. The storage yards along FM 830, Robinson Road, and Sleepy Hollow Road run on keypad or app-based gate access, and lake-house docks have their own pedestal amperage and layout. We ask for your gate code and space number, or your dock setup, when you book, and we work the visit around it rather than showing up and guessing.
The seasonal reality
We will not manufacture urgency. Demand here tracks the lake and the calendar rather than a single hard season: spring and early summer bring roof and AC prep ahead of the heat, peak summer brings AC failures and humidity problems on occupied rigs, hurricane season (June through November) brings storm prep and post-storm inspections, and the run-up to hunting and fall lake weekends brings a wave of storage-yard checkouts. Are you a dealer or factory-authorized service center?
No, and we will not pretend to be. We are independent mobile service. That means we cannot do factory warranty work, but it also means we work on any brand, we answer the phone, and we show up in days instead of weeks.
Are your technicians licensed and certified?
Texas does not run a state license for general RV or motor vehicle coach repair, so nobody in this market holds one for that work. The one credential Texas does require and enforce is propane: any technician servicing an RV's LP-gas system must hold Railroad Commission of Texas certification, and any tech we send for propane work must be able to show it before touching your gas lines. Beyond that, ask about insurance, RVTI training, and whether a tech puts a diagnosis in writing before quoting.
