Water showing up at the top of a slide-out when it rains almost always turns out to be the slide’s own seals or topper fabric, not the roof. Most fixes run $300 to $1,200, well under what a roof repair would cost.

Check this first (five minutes, from inside)

Note exactly where the water shows up. Right along the top edge of the slide box points to the slide seals or topper. Away from the slide entirely points to the roof.
Check whether it only happens during active rain, versus a stain that seems to be there regardless of weather (which would point to an older, dried leak rather than an active one).
From outside if you can safely see it, look at the topper fabric above the slide for tears, sagging, or standing water pooled on it.
Look at the wiper seal where the slide meets the wall opening for hardened, cracked, or gapped rubber.

Why this happens in Montgomery County
